Digital-Analog Co-Design of the Harrow-Hassidim-Lloyd Algorithm

The Harrow-Hassidim-Lloyd quantum algorithm was proposed to solve linear systems of equations $A\vec{x} = \vec{b}$ and it is the core various applications. However, there not an explicit circuit for subroutine which maps inverse problem matrix $A$ into ancillary qubit. This makes challenging implementation in current devices, forcing us use hybrid approaches. Here, we propose a systematic manner implement this subroutine, can be adapted other functions $f(A)$ $A$, present co-designed processor reduces depth algorithm, introduce its digital-analog implementation. our proposal scales with precision $\epsilon$ as $\mathcal{O}(\epsilon^{-1})$, bounded by number samples allowed certain experiment. co-design leads "kite-like" architecture, allows reduce required SWAP gates. Finally, merging architecture contributes reduction noise sources during experimental realization algorithm.
